Can I keep my existing email setup?

While Stacked Site does not currently include an email service as part of its managed websites service, you can still keep your existing business email address. How you go about this depends on your existing email setup. If you have a separate hosted email supplied through a third party such as Microsoft's Office 365 or Google's G Suite, then the answer is a resounding yes! However, if you currently use the email service provided by your existing website hosting company then there will be a little more involved.

If you have a third party email provider

If you currently use a product such as G Suite or Office 365 for email, then there is nothing for you to do. When your site goes live on the Stacked Site platform, all the backend "techy" stuff relating to your email will remain unchanged and it will be business as usual.

If your email is with your existing website hosting provider

In this instance, moving away from your existing hosting providing will also cancel your email service. To maintain your email service, we recommend transferring to a separate email provider such as G Suite or Office 365. The advantage of this is that if one service goes down, you can still notify clients via the other service. Our team can help you set this up if required. It is also worth checking with your existing hosting provider if they have a mail only subscription, as this may allow you to keep current inbox without losing any important emails. If not, then it is recommended that you download all your emails from your hosting provider before cancelling the service.
